Prof Gasana is an environmental and occupational health (EOH), epidemiology and medicine professional with 25+ years of experience in EOH and safety in Africa, USA, Caribbean Region, and Kuwait. He is founding chair of EOH Department, Faculty of Public Health, Kuwait University. Previous faculty positions were held for 4 years at National University of Rwanda Faculty of Medicine and for 20 years at Florida International University where he was instrumental as one-man army in establishing their EOH Department. Since 2014, he is member of Editorial Advisory Board of 100+-years old US safety organization, National Safety Council (NSC). He is on Advisory Panel for HSE (Health Safety & Environment) Forums that are organized yearly in Kuwait. He is HSE Consultant for The World Bank and British Department For International Development and EOH/Safety Consultant for USAID. His research interests focus on the role of environmental and occupational exposures that lead to the diseases with the ultimate goal of controlling/preventing these exposures (with a focus on vulnerable populations that include children and workers).

Raffaele Pilla, Pharm.D., Ph.D., Doctor Europaeus, received his Master’s degree in Pharmacy at G. d’Annunzio University in Chieti-Pescara, Italy in 2005, where he also served internships at the Cell Physiology Laboratory and Molecular Biology Laboratory. Prior, he was an Erasmus Student at Faculté de Pharmacie de Reims in Reims, France. He received his Doctor Europaeus in 2010 from Pitié-Salpétrière Institute in Paris, France. Also in 2010, he received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Physiology, and Pathology of Muscle at G. d’Annunzio University in Chieti-Pescara, Italy. He was hired as a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, on two research grants funded by the Office of Naval Research (US Navy) and Divers’ Alert Network. He has written and lectured widely worldwide. He has been involved in ongoing research at the University of South Florida with the use of ketone esters.

Ahmed Hassan Saeed AL-Ghamdi obtained MBBS from King Khalid University, KSA in 2005. He served as a Vice Dean for hospital affairs in 2015, as a Head, Lecturer and demonstrator of pediatric department and Assistant Professor of pediatric endocrinology at Faculty of medicine, Albaha University, KSA. He has obtained Saudi fellowship in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes, KSA in 2014.
Chhaya Akshay Divecha

Chhaya Akshay Divecha has completed her Undergraduate as well as postgraduate (MD Pediatrics) from the reputed Seth G.S. Medical College & KEM Hospital at Mumbai, India. She has also obtained fellowships in Neonatal Intensive Care and Pediatric Intensive Care from the same reputed institution. She is currently Assistant Professor in department of Pediatrics at College of Medicine and Health Sciences, National University of Science and Technology (formerly Oman Medical College) at Sohar, Sultanate of Oman. She has more than 10 years of teaching experience and has published many papers in reputed journals as well as contributed to chapters in textbooks.
